Creative Fit Architect Wade Takashima and TWC Construction pioneered the LEED-certified construction in Las Vegas more than a decade ago by covering a about a half million square feet of the city’s facilities in solar panels.
The leadership of environmentally minded clients like Pro Caps Vitamins founder Andrew Lessman, helped build some of Las Vegas’ first Green Building certified LEED construction.
In 2012, ProCaps covered their vitamin production facility with almost 5 acres of solar panels, making the production facility entirely carbon neutral and earning them LEED Existing Building (EB) GOLD status.
This 160,000 SF project is a fully Integrated Vitamin Manufacturing Facility built over many phases. Services include multiple Tenant Improvements eventually renovating the full complex to fit the Owner’s needs and adding rooftop PV as well as a PV structure to shade surface parking.
ProCaps, with the help of TWC and Creative Fit, and our partners, produced enough energy efficiency projects in 2012 and 13 to rank being referred to in this Las Vegas Review Journal article about Nevada becoming “ranked No. 10 in the nation with 3.74 million square feet of LEED-certified green building completed in 2012, or 1.39 square feet per capita”.
